With an A1 visa exemption arrangement, you can
Travel, visit family or friends, attend meetings, incentives, conventions, exhibitions, seminars, or similar events, or transit in Indonesia to go to other countries.
Visa type
The A1 visa exemption arrangement allows for a single entry into Indonesia. This arrangement is available to citizens of specific countries and permits a stay of up to 30 days, starting from the date of arrival. This stay permit is non-extendable and cannot be converted into any other type of stay permit.
Length of stay
- You can stay in Indonesia for up to 30 days, starting from the arrival date.
- You can’t extend this stay permit.
Sponsor
You don’t need a sponsor to apply for this visa.
Visa application
On Arrival
Foreigners from countries subject to visa exemption must present a passport valid for at least 6 months and a return or onward ticket (except crew members joining ships) at the Immigration counter.
Pre-Arrival
Eligible foreigners may apply online through evisa.imigrasi.go.id, complete the form, and upload documents electronically. An electronic entry sign will be issued, functioning as a stay permit and usable at immigration autogates.
Other provisions
- Foreigners without citizenship or holding non-national passports (temporary passport, emergency passport, titre du voyage, certificate of identity, laissez passer, etc.) are not eligible.
- Holders of a visa exemption stay permit are not allowed to sell goods/services or receive salary, wages, or compensation from individuals or corporations in Indonesia.
