Carry out activities related to the duties of a captain, pilot, or crew of an aircraft or ship. With this visa exemption arrangement, you can also travel and visit friends and family.
Visa type
The A36 visa exemption arrangement allows for a single entry into Indonesia. This arrangement is available to citizens of specific countries and permits a stay of up to 30 days from the date of arrival. This stay permit is non-extendable and cannot be converted into any other type of stay permit.

- You can stay in Indonesia for up to 30 days from the arrival date.
- This stay permit cannot be extended.

Visa application
On Arrival
Foreigners from countries subject to visa exemption must present a passport valid for at least 6 months and a return or onward ticket (except crew members joining ships) at the Immigration counter.
Pre-Arrival
Eligible foreigners may apply online through evisa.imigrasi.go.id,
complete the form, and upload documents electronically. An electronic entry sign will be issued, functioning as a stay permit and usable at immigration autogates.
Other provisions
- Foreigners without citizenship or holding non-national passports (temporary passport, emergency passport, titre du voyage, certificate of identity, laissez passer, etc.) are not eligible for a visa exemption arrangement.
- Holders of this stay permit are not allowed to sell goods or services or receive salary, wages, or compensation from individuals or corporations in Indonesia.
