With an A37 visa exemption arrangement, you can

Carry out activities related to the duties of captains, crew members, or foreign experts on aircraft, ships, or other floating equipment who arrive directly with their means of transport to operate in Indonesian waters, territorial seas, continental shelves, or the Indonesian Exclusive Economic Zone. With this visa exemption arrangement, you can also travel and visit friends and family.

Visa type

The A37 visa exemption arrangement allows a single entry into Indonesia. It is available to citizens of specific countries and permits a stay of up to 30 days from the date of arrival. This stay permit is non-extendable and cannot be converted into another type of stay permit.

  • You can stay in Indonesia for up to 30 days from the arrival date.
  • This stay permit cannot be extended.

Visa application

On Arrival

Foreigners from countries subject to visa exemption must present a passport valid for at least 6 months and a return or onward ticket (except crew members joining ships) at the Immigration counter.

Pre-Arrival

Eligible foreigners may apply online through evisa.imigrasi.go.id, complete the form, and upload documents electronically. An electronic entry sign will be issued, which also functions as a stay permit and can be used at immigration autogates.

Other provisions
  • Foreigners without citizenship or holding non-national passports (temporary passport, emergency passport, titre du voyage, certificate of identity, laissez passer, etc.) are not eligible for a visa exemption arrangement.
  • Holders of this stay permit are not allowed to sell goods or services or receive salary, wages, or compensation from individuals or corporations in Indonesia.
