B4 Government Mission Visitor Visa

With a B4 visa, you can

Carry out government duties, visit a place, or perform other official government assignments. With this visa, you may also visit tourist destinations and meet friends and family.

Visa type

The B4 visa is a Visa on Arrival (VoA) for single entry into Indonesia. It is available to citizens of specific countries and grants an initial stay of up to 30 days from the arrival date. This stay permit may be extended once for another 30 days. It may also be converted into another type of stay permit through a bridging visa mechanism.

Length of stay

  • You may stay in Indonesia for up to 30 days from the arrival date.
  • You may extend this stay permit once for another 30 days.
  • If you are an e-VoA holder, you may extend online via evisa.imigrasi.go.id.
  • If you hold a non-electronic VoA, you must extend at the nearest immigration office based on your domicile.

Visa application

Pre-Arrival Application (Online e-VoA)

Applicants must:

  • Apply via evisa.imigrasi.go.id
  • Upload required documents:
    • Passport biodata page valid for at least 6 months (12 months for non-national travel documents)
    • Recent color photograph
    • Return or onward ticket (except for crew members joining their vessel)
  • Pay using debit/credit card
  • Receive e-VoA via email within 1×24 hours
Application and Payment on Arrival

To apply at an Indonesian airport/seaport/land border:

  • Make payment at the designated bank counter in the immigration inspection area
  • Receive a visa payment voucher
  • Present the voucher at the Visa on Arrival counter
  • Receive a VoA sticker and electronic entry mark
Other provisions
  • Non-national passport holders (temporary passport, emergency passport, laissez passer, etc.) are not eligible.
  • The visa is valid for 90 days from issuance if unused.
  • The visa validity period differs from the permitted stay period.
  • Non-electronic VoA must be used immediately after issuance.
  • B4 visa holders are not allowed to sell goods/services or receive salary in Indonesia.
