With a F1 visa, you can
Travel, visit family or friends, attend meetings, incentives, conventions, exhibitions, seminars, or similar events, or transit in Indonesia to other countries.
Visa type
- The F1 visa is a Visa on Arrival (VoA) for single entry into Indonesia. It is available to citizens of specific countries and grants a stay permit of up to 7 days from the arrival date. This stay permit is non-extendable and cannot be converted into another type of stay permit.
- This visa can only be applied for directly at specific Immigration Border Control points.
Length of stay
- You may stay in Indonesia for up to 7 days from the arrival date.
- This stay permit cannot be extended.

You do not need a sponsor to apply for this visa.
Visa application
Application and Payment on Arrival
To apply for a Visa on Arrival at an Indonesian international airport, seaport, or land border:
- Make payment at a designated bank counter in the immigration inspection area by presenting a passport valid for at least 6 months.
- Receive a visa voucher printed on security paper as proof of payment.
- Present the voucher to the immigration officer at the Visa on Arrival counter.
- Receive a Visa on Arrival sticker attached to the passport along with an electronic entry mark.
Other provisions
- Foreigners without citizenship or holding non-national travel documents (temporary passport, emergency passport, laissez passer, etc.) are not eligible.
- Non-electronic Visa on Arrival must be used immediately after issuance.
- F1 visa holders are not allowed to sell goods or services or receive salary, wages, or compensation in Indonesia.
