With this visa, you can also visit tourist spots and see friends and family.
Visa Type
The C9 Visa is a single-entry visitor visa to Indonesia with an initial stay permit of up to 60 days from the date of arrival.
This stay permit is extendable and can be converted into a temporary stay permit with the same sponsor.
Length of Stay
- You can stay in Indonesia for up to 60 days from the date of arrival.
- You can extend the stay permit up to a maximum of 180 days.
- Your sponsor can extend your stay online through their registered account at
evisa.imigrasi.go.id.

You need a sponsor to apply for this visa.
Visa Application
Sponsors must have an account at evisa.imigrasi.go.id before applying for a visa.
After logging in, the sponsor can apply for a C9 visa by submitting the following electronic documents:
- Application letter and sponsor’s statement letter
- Valid passport (minimum 6 months before expiration)
- Proof of living expenses (bank statement for the last 3 months with a minimum balance of USD 2,000 or equivalent)
- Recent color photograph

Specific Requirements
- Proof of registration or certificate as a participant in benchmarking studies, short courses, or short training from a government agency or private institution
Other Provisions
- Foreigners holding non-national passports or travel documents must attach a Re-Entry Permit and a return/onward ticket.
- The visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. If unused, a new visa application is required.
- The visa validity period differs from the length of stay. Please check your visa for details.
- C9 visa holders are not permitted to sell goods/services or receive salary or compensation from Indonesian individuals or corporations.
Visa Application and Granting Process
At the Directorate General of Immigration, officers will:
- Check your documents
- Verify immigration fee payment
- Create and verify your profile in the system
- Approve your application
- Issue your visa
Processing time is five working days after payment is received.
