Visa type
The C21 Visa is a visitor visa for single entry to Indonesia with a first stay permit of up to 60 days, starting from the arrival date.
This stay permit is extendable and eligible for conversion into a temporary stay permit with the same sponsor.
Length of stay
- You can stay in Indonesia for up to 60 days, starting from the arrival date.
- You can extend this stay permit several times up to 180 days.
- Your sponsor can extend your stay permit online through the sponsor’s registered account at
evisa.imigrasi.go.id

You need a sponsor to apply for this visa.
Visa application
Sponsors must have an account at evisa.imigrasi.go.id before applying for a visa for foreigners.
After having an account, the sponsor can apply for a C21 visa by submitting electronic files of the foreigner, such as:
- Application letter and sponsor’s statement letter.
- A travel document valid for at least 6 months before expiry.
- Proof of living expenses in Indonesia (bank statement in the foreigner’s or sponsor’s name for the last 3 months)
of at least USD 2000 or equivalent. - Recent color photograph.

Specific requirements
- A court summons or a statement from a government law enforcement agency stating
the urgency of the foreigner’s presence in court.
Other provisions
- Foreigners without citizenship or holding non-national passports (temporary passports,
emergency passports, titre du voyage, certificate of identity, laissez passer, or equivalent documents)
must attach a Re-Entry Permit from the country where the visa is applied and a return/onward ticket. - The visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. If unused after that period,
a new visa application is required. - The visa validity period differs from the permitted stay period. Please check your visa carefully.
- Foreigners with a stay permit from a C21 visa are not allowed to sell goods or services
or receive salary, wages, or compensation from individuals or corporations in Indonesia.
Visa application and granting process
At the Directorate General of Immigration, officers will:
- Check your documents.
- Verify your immigration fee payment.
- Create and verify your profile in the system.
- Approve your application.
- Issue your visa.
Processing time is five working days after visa payment is received.
