With a C12 Visa, You Can
Visit Indonesia for pre-investment activities or to start a business and invest, including field surveys or feasibility studies related to your intended business or investment.
This visa also allows you to visit tourist destinations and meet friends and family.
Visa Type
The C12 Visa is a single-entry visitor visa with a stay permit of up to 180 days from the date of arrival.
This stay permit is extendable and may be converted into a temporary stay permit with the same sponsor.
Length of Stay
- You may stay in Indonesia for up to 180 days from the date of arrival.
- The stay permit can be extended multiple times up to a maximum of 12 months.
- Extensions must be processed online by your sponsor via
evisa.imigrasi.go.id.
Sponsor
A sponsor is required to apply for this visa.
Visa Application
Sponsors must have a registered account at
evisa.imigrasi.go.id
before submitting a C12 visa application.
Required electronic documents include:
- Application letter and sponsor’s statement letter
- Valid passport with at least 6 months remaining validity
- Proof of sufficient funds (bank statement from the last 3 months with a minimum balance of USD 2,000 or equivalent)
- Recent color photograph according to official specifications
Specific Requirements
- Letter of information, invitation, or official correspondence from a government agency or private institution explaining the relationship with the applicant.
Other Provisions
- Applicants holding temporary or special travel documents must provide a Re-Entry Permit from the issuing country and proof of onward or return travel.
- The visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. If not used within this period, a new application is required.
- Visa validity differs from the permitted stay duration. Always verify the stay period stated on your visa.
- C12 visa holders are not permitted to sell goods or services or receive salary, wages, or compensation from individuals or companies in Indonesia.
Visa Application and Granting Process
The Directorate General of Immigration will:
- Review submitted documents
- Verify immigration fee payment
- Create and validate applicant profile in the system
- Approve the application
- Issue the visa
Processing time is approximately five working days after payment confirmation.
