D1 Tourism Visitor Visa

With a D1 Visa, You Can

  • Travel in Indonesia
  • Visit family or friends
  • Attend meetings, incentives, conventions, exhibitions, seminars, or similar events
  • Transit in Indonesia to continue to other countries

Visa Type

The D1 Visa is a multiple-entry visitor visa to Indonesia. It grants an initial stay
permit of up to 60 days from the date of arrival. The stay permit can be extended,
but it cannot be converted into a temporary stay permit.

Length of Stay

  • You may stay in Indonesia for up to 60 days per arrival.
  • The stay permit can be extended up to a maximum of 180 days.
  • Extensions must be processed online by the sponsor through

    evisa.imigrasi.go.id

Visa Application

Sponsors must create an account at

evisa.imigrasi.go.id

before submitting a visa application.

Required electronic documents include:

  • Valid passport (minimum 6 months before expiration)
  • Proof of living expenses (bank statement for the last 3 months
    showing at least USD 2,000 or equivalent)
  • Recent color photograph
  • Curriculum vitae (CV)
  • Travel itinerary

Specific Requirements

  • Letter of information, invitation, or correspondence from a government
    agency or private institution explaining the purpose of visit; OR
  • Letter from spouse or parents (Indonesian citizen) explaining family
    relationship and planned activities in Indonesia (attach family card or
    equivalent document).

Other Provisions

  • Stateless individuals or holders of non-national travel documents
    (temporary passport, emergency passport, titre du voyage, certificate
    of identity, laissez passer, etc.) must provide a re-entry permit to
    the country of application and a return/onward ticket.
  • The visa is valid from the date of issuance until its expiration date.
    If unused within this period, a new visa application is required.
  • Holders of a D1 visa are prohibited from selling goods or services or
    receiving salary, wages, or compensation from individuals or companies
    in Indonesia.

Visa Application and Granting Process

The Directorate General of Immigration will:

  • Review submitted documents
  • Verify immigration fee payment
  • Create and verify applicant profile in the system
  • Approve the application
  • Issue the visa

Processing time: 5 working days after payment is received.
