Visa Type
The D2 Visa is a multiple-entry visitor visa for Indonesia. It grants an initial stay permit of up to 60 days from the date of arrival. The stay permit can be extended but cannot be converted into a temporary stay permit.
Length of Stay
- Stay in Indonesia for up to 60 days per arrival
- Extend the stay permit multiple times up to a maximum of 180 days
- Extensions are processed online by the sponsor at
evisa.imigrasi.go.id

A sponsor is required to apply for this visa.
Visa Application
Sponsors must have an account at evisa.imigrasi.go.id before applying for a D2 visa. Required electronic documents include:
- Valid travel document (passport) with at least 6 months before expiry
- Proof of living expenses (bank statement last 3 months, minimum USD 2,000)
- Recent color photograph (Details)
- Curriculum vitae (CV)
- Travel itinerary
Specific Requirements
- Letter of information, invitation, or correspondence from a government or private institution explaining the foreigner’s connection
- Letter from spouse or parents (Indonesian citizen) explaining family ties and activities during stay (attach family card or equivalent)
Other Provisions
- Stateless individuals or holders of non-national travel documents must attach a Re-Entry Permit and return/onward ticket
- Visa is valid from issuance to expiration date; a new visa is required if unused
- D2 visa holders cannot sell goods/services or receive compensation in Indonesia
